The Algerian Football Federation has officially announced the departure of Rayan Aït-Nouri from the Greens' gathering. This decision comes after several tense moments observed around the player during the match against Zambia.

The Algerian Football Federation officially announced on Saturday the release of Rayan Aït-Nouri from the national team gathering. In its statement, the FAF indicates: "The national coach, Brahim Hemdani, decided on Saturday to release player Rayan Aït-Nouri from the ongoing training camp of the national team. The Algerian international will return to his club, Manchester City."

This announcement comes the day after the Greens' victory against Zambia (3-1), a match during which Aït-Nouri started on the bench. A first filmed sequence at halftime showed the player particularly annoyed, gesticulating while Moussa Saïb and Ahmed Touba tried to calm him down.

Another video, shared after the match, also raised questions. During the warm-up, the Manchester City full-back appears in a very tense exchange with a member of the Algerian staff. The tone escalates noticeably between the two men, although it did not lead to a physical altercation.

However, the FAF did not provide any official reason for this release in its statement. Aït-Nouri will therefore not participate in the remainder of the gathering and will notably miss the trip to Burundi.
