Facing Zambia, Adem Zorgane contributed to the success of the Greens (3-1) in Tizi-Ouzou. After the match, the Algerian midfielder discussed the team's performance, the beginnings with the new coach Brahim Hemdani, as well as his non-selection for the last World Cup.

Algeria successfully started its campaign in the qualifiers for the 2027 AFCON by overcoming Zambia. Despite some missed opportunities, the Greens managed to make the difference in the second half to secure the three points.

Zorgane believes that the team delivered an encouraging performance while identifying an area in which it still needs to improve.

"We had a good match today. We managed to create a lot of chances, but we didn't manage to score all of them. We still need to work on our finishing," explained the Algerian midfielder.

The player also highlighted the contribution of the new staff and the new elements integrated into the group. According to him, this new dynamic should allow the Greens to gradually build automatisms.

"With the new coach and the new players, we have a new breath with the team, and we need to work harder to create automatisms between us," he added.

When asked about his non-selection for the World Cup, Zorgane displayed a calm reaction. The Algerian international does not wish to dwell on this decision and prefers to focus on the future.

"No, I am not disappointed at all. It's football. It was the coach's choice, and now we think about the present and the future. Whoever is in shape at that time should contribute positively to the team," he stated.
