Mediterranean Games 2026: Hamdani's list and Algeria's schedule!

The Algeria U21 team now knows the 18 players selected and its schedule for the 2026 Mediterranean Games, with three matches in the group stage.

The Algeria U21 team will compete in the 2026 Mediterranean Games in Italy with a group of 18 players led by Brahim Hemdani, the successor to Razik Nedder, all playing in clubs in Algeria, including five who were at Paradou AC last season.

Placed in Group B, the young Fennecs will face Kosovo on August 22, before challenging Italy on August 24. They will conclude the group stage against Albania on August 26.

In the previous edition, held in Oran in 2022, Algeria defeated Spain (1-0), then lost to Morocco (0-2) and France (2-3), exiting the tournament in the first round.

Their best result remains the gold medal won in Algiers in 1975, after a victory against France in the final (3-2, after extra time).
