Algeria - Zambia: Hemdani reflects on the Greens' victory and already discusses what’s next (video)

National coach Brahim Hemdani provided a positive first analysis after Algeria's victory against Zambia (3-1) on Friday night in Tizi-Ouzou. The technician of the Greens particularly emphasized the reaction of his players after the equalizing goal from the opponents, while also discussing the performance of Mohamed Amine Amoura and the upcoming trip to Burundi.

"We were looking for this victory and we deserved it based on the course of the match. Overall, we achieved the essential by taking the three points," Hemdani stated at the press conference after the match.

The coach did acknowledge that the Greens went through a more complicated period, particularly after Fashion Sakala's equalizer. According to him, the lack of efficiency allowed the Zambians to come back into the game.

"We created chances, but our efficiency let us down, which allowed Zambia to get back into the match. But the players remained focused afterwards and we finished the game with a victory," he explained.

The new coach of the Fennecs also took the opportunity to provide more information regarding Amine Gouiri, who left the match early due to injury: "We are on alert. We will wait until tomorrow to make a statement. He has discomfort in the quadriceps of his left thigh."

Hemdani also discussed the performance of Mohamed Amine Amoura. The Algerian forward, who started against the Chipolopolos, did not find the back of the net despite being very active. However, the coach assures that he is satisfied with his performance.
