Germany: The trend is confirmed for Bensebaïni!
Despite several inquiries mentioned this summer, Ramy Bensebaïni is expected to continue his adventure at Borussia Dortmund (BVB), where he maintains an important position in the defensive hierarchy.
While transfer rumors are multiplying around Algerian internationals, Ramy Bensebaïni is expected to have a relatively calm summer. The 31-year-old defender and Borussia Dortmund share the same desire: to continue their collaboration for at least one more season, despite a contract expiring in June 2027.
According to the latest information from Germany, the 2026 World Cup player will retain an important role in the defensive rotation. Nico Schlotterbeck, Joane Gadou, Waldemar Anton, and Bensebaïni would constitute the four main options in the center, ahead of the young Filippo Mané. His versatility, as he can also play on the left, remains particularly valued.
This trend diminishes the prospect of a departure during this transfer window. The name of the 2019 African champion had notably circulated around Galatasaray and Paris Saint-Germain. However, the Parisian option has closed after the official arrival of Lucas Digne from Aston Villa.
Last season, Bensebaïni played 32 matches in all competitions, scoring seven goals and providing three assists. He accumulated 58 days of unavailability, including 50 due to physical issues with his back and ankle, missing a total of nine matches. Despite these interruptions, his offensive output and experience reinforce his place in BVB's plans.
