UEFA Champions League: Zorgane relapses for his return!
Back after two matches out, Adem Zorgane delivered a convincing performance before leaving the pitch prematurely, once again injured.
Adem Zorgane finally returned to competition with Union Saint-Gilloise. After missing the last two matches due to an injury, the Algerian international was named in the starting lineup against Bodø/Glimt in the return leg of the Champions League playoffs, despite having only one collective training session since his return.
The midfielder quickly showed his advantage. Available between the lines, precise in his passes, and active in recovery, he brought fluidity to the Belgian game. In the 54th minute, a perfectly weighted through ball from the Algerian sent Louis Patris towards the goal, but the latter's attempt hit the post.
However, the evening took a worrying turn. Injured around the 68th minute, Zorgane ultimately had to give way to Rob Schoofs in the 70th.
Another frustrating alert for the player, barely back from injury. The nature and severity of this issue remain to be determined, as his coach had immediately chosen to give him a starting position.
